CELEBRATING GRAEME’S 50 YEARS OF DANCING!!!

On Friday 20th June we celebrated Graeme’s 50 years of dancing with a party at Arreton Community Centre! We all danced to the tunes that have been instrumental in Graeme’s dancing career. He provided lots of memorabilia and a montage of photos through the years from 1975 to 2025. There were also lots of surprises in store for Graeme!

The evening kicked off with Sarah-Jane providing a history of Graeme’s dance career, following which he was presented with a 50 Years card containing fabulous messages from all his dancer friends, a very nostalgic message from Nicky (his dance partner in Cambridge) and an amazing cake – an edible top hat, scattered with glitter balls!!! He was also presented with a delicious selection of prawn/salmon/mushroom vol-au-vents, a longstanding joke when teaching the Social Foxtrot!

Thanks to everyone for your support last night, throughout the years and for all the lovely messages, cards and gifts. Thanks also to Richard and Paul for always providing a fantastic, friendly bar service and to Simon for his smooth running of the venue.

It was a very memorable occasion, here’s to the next 50 years!!!
